Powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake strikes east coast Japan

This earthquake does not appear to be too problematic. You can report shaking to the USGS here, and it looks like only light to moderate shaking was felt so far. The magnitude, depth, and location do not indicate any sizable fault motion to displace water and cause a tsunami. There was a M5.
