r/worldnews - The new mayor of Rio de Janeiro took office Friday launching a raft of investigations into corruption allegations against his predecessor, an Evangelical pastor allied with Brazil's far-right President Jair Bolsonaro

He isn't much better. He was the mayor before the evangelic dude. He came back now even though he is still being investigated for corruption. There were 3 (I think still are...) different cases open against him.
