The world's largest lake is shrinking: the Caspian Sea is set to fall by 9 metres or more this century – an ecocide is imminent

From the article it seems like the North will be most affected as the sea is shallower there. I doubt anything will be done to save the Caspian as the article states it naturally fluctuates and the challenge is considerable. It has already mostly disappeared.
