r/worldnews - Mining giant Rio Tinto was alerted six years ago that at least one of the caves it blasted in Western Australia's Pilbara region last month was of "the highest archaeological significance in Australia"



It's insane that they were actually given a permit to destroy the site despite it having so many rare and important artifacts. And then for the company to go through with it, then say it's just a "misunderstanding" - pure greed. Priceless, and lost forever.
