Oldest 'nearly complete' HIV genome found in forgotten tissue sample from 1966



The belief that HIV was circulating in Africa in the early 20th century is not a new idea. It jumped species twice, we know that from HIV genome. There are two strains, one of them probably jumped species in early 20th century and was spreading among native Africans.
