Coronavirus live updates: China says death toll tops 900 as confirmed cases cross 40,000

daily new death is increasing, but new cases are leveling off. So since deaths usually happens about 1-2 wks after the initial diagnosis, these are the deaths from confirmed cases about 1-2 wks ago.
