‘Our enemy is here’: Iran protesters demand leaders quit after military admits it shot down plane

This is all so weird. What did they hope to gain by shooting down a random civilian plane? I think maybe they were on high alert after the guy was killed and accidentally shot it down. I’m not really informed enough to know if that’s close to correct but it kind of makes sense.
