r/worldnews - Apple has approved an app which lets Hong Kong protesters track the police after initially rejecting it: HKmap Live is an anonymously developed, crowd-sourced app that provides users with alerts on protesters' activity, displays locations of police vehicles, and tracks tear-gas usage.

Not for long, this was probably human error on their part. The app will be removed and whoever approved this will be fired. Apple will also likely issue an apology. This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 68%. (I'm a bot)
