‘They are barbaric’: Turkey prepares to flood 12,000-year-old city in country's Kurdish region to build dam

I visited this city in the beginning of September. The roads to Hasankeyf will be closed off in October. There was little left of the Old Town when I visited. The road to the historic area was closed off and many monuments were already gone.
