The research on 50 stranded creatures, including porpoises, dolphins, grey seals and a pygmy sperm whale, found an average of 5.5 particles in their guts, the most comprehensive analysis of microplastics in wild cetaceans and seals.
It’s sad that we have to kill marine life to harvest plastic. We really need to find another way of creating it.
