China is reportedly burning bibles and making Christians renounce their faith to ensure total loyalty to the Communist Party

China has been burning the Christian bible for a long time. I knew some people who were imprisoned there many years ago for their faith. Just to provide some historical context, the Taiping Rebellion (1850-1864) was fomented by a guy, Hong Xiuquan, who claimed himself the brother of Jesus Christ.
