500kg World War II bomb successfully defused after 18,500 evacuated in the German city of Ludwigshafen

Mind blowing when you think about how it gets dropped from high altitude and doesn’t explode upon impact. It's weird to think that these bombs were left there. The allies should have removed them after Germany surrendered.
