Chinese fishermen get up to 4 years prison for illegally fishing more than 6000 sharks in Ecuador

There Are probably 999 more doing the same thing right now in their waters that Ecuador doesn't fully patrol. That seems like very little time done per shark killed. Less than half a day or something. Can somebody do the math? I'm not very good at math.
