Britain to ban sale of all diesel and petrol cars and vans from 2040

Much like the French commitment whilst a 'good' thing, it ultimately is somewhat meaningless because a pledge for something 23 years in the future can easily be reneged upon. That being said I at least appreciate the commitment in principle. - My comment from another post on a different sub.
