Europe and Russia planning space mission to assess Moon settlement

It's a joint mission, with Russia working with the European space agency, to send an unmanned spacecraft to the Moon's south pole so as to gauge whether a future manned mission and permanent settlement can be established. The mission is called Luna 27, and is set to launch in 5 years.
