Beheaded Syrian scholar refused to lead Isis to hidden Palmyra antiquities

The amount of bravery that it must've taken, over the course of a month, to defy interrogation by ISIS... all to protect ancient artifacts that it would've been so, so easy to rationalise away in the face of imminent torture and/or death. Rest in peace. I hope his sacrifice wasn't in vain.
